A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE. SECURE OR STORE AWAY ANY ITEMS THAT COULD BE BLOWN AROUND BY THE STRONG WINDS.

.LOW PRESSURE WILL STRENGTHEN AS IT MOVES TO OUR NORTHEAST TONIGHT... WITH A STRONG COLD FRONT SWEEPING ACROSS OUR AREA. IN THE WAKE OF THIS SYSTEM... INTENSE WINDS ABOVE THE SURFACE COMBINED WITH MUCH COLDER AIR SURGING INTO THE REGION WILL RESULT IN STRONG TO POTENTIALLY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING.

THE HIGHEST GUSTS AND GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE VERY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. THE WINDS ARE THEN EXPECTED TO DIMINISH QUICKLY LATER SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND ESPECIALLY SUNDAY EVENING. * HIGH WIND IMPACTS...DOWNED POWER LINES AND TREES...ESPECIALLY TREES THAT ARE ALREADY FLOWERING AND LEAFING OUT...MAY POTENTIALLY RESULT IN POWER OUTAGES. SOME DAMAGE IS POSSIBLE TO BUILDING STRUCTURES.
