   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 305
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   410 PM EDT TUE JUN 28 2016

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
     DELAWARE
     EASTERN MARYLAND
     WESTERN NEW JERSEY
     SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA
     NORTHERN VIRGINIA
     COASTAL WATERS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 410 PM UNTIL
     1000 PM EDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 65 MPH POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...A BROKEN LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTH-CENTRAL
   PA AND CENTRAL MD WILL TRACK EASTWARD ACROSS THE WATCH AREA THROUGH
   EARLY EVENING.  LOCALLY GUSTY/DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE A RISK FROM THE
   STRONGEST CELLS.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 45
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 15 MILES WEST
   SOUTHWEST OF WASHINGTON DISTRICT OF COLUM TO 45 MILES NORTHEAST

   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
