THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 8 PM EDT SATURDAY. * LOCATIONS...PORTIONS OF EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA AND CENTRAL NEW JERSEY. * HAZARD TYPES...WET SNOW. * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 TO 5 INCHES WITH THE HIGHER AMOUNTS AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS. * TIMING...SNOW WILL MOVE IN TOWARD DAYBREAK SATURDAY ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA AND THEN SPREAD NORTHWARD THROUGH MID MORNING. THE SNOW MAY BE MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY AT TIMES FROM MID MORNING THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. THE SNOW MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO RAIN AT TIMES WHEN THE PRECIPITATION INTENSITY LIGHTENS UP AND AT THE LOWER ELEVATIONS. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST TOWARD SUNSET. * IMPACTS...UNTREATED ROADS, ESPECIALLY BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES, WILL BECOME SLUSHY OR SNOW COVERED AND VISIBILITY WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED DURING HEAVIER BURSTS OF SNOW. SLIPPERY TRAVEL MAY IMPACT BOTH THE MORNING AND EARLY EVENING COMMUTES. * WINDS...NORTHEAST 5 TO 15 MPH, BECOMING NORTHWEST 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH LATE IN THE AFTERNOON. * TEMPERATURES...IN THE MID 30S.
