The Magic Of December 5......And Another Shot Of Wintry Precipitation

It seems year in and year out, when the calendar hits December 5th, there will be wintry precipitation around the area. This year is no different. We recently had our first frozen precipitation event of the season a couple weeks ago (with some areas reporting thundersnow / sleet). We have yet another shot tonight through the am.

A disturbance is moving into the area and precipitation will push into the area during the overnight hours. For many locations, it will be rain and snow mix with little accumulation (if any, confined to the colder grassy non paved surfaces). For areas above Rt. 80 in NJ, a chance for an inch or so by morning.

Lets hope this is the first of many reports I can bring this winter season!
