Tropical Storm IDA

Well, it appears we are hours away from landfall from Tropical Storm IDA. IDA was a category 2 Hurricane yesterday, but has since been downgraded. IDA is topping out with 70mph winds. The main story of the tropical system will be the rains. Parts of the southeast will be pummeled with rains. It also appears that this storm will pass to the east of New Orleans sparing that city from another debacle.

  1. here in charlotte we are to get rain influenced by ida. We have forecast to as much as 4 inches with some gusty winds. Looking forward to some wind driven rain it reminds of the good old nor'easters....
